For anyone visiting the clubhouse on Friday evenings or over the weekend between 8th February and 11th March, you may need to allow a bit longer for your journey.

Due to the ongoing roadworks to create the new roundabout at the bottom of Clitheroe Road, the section of the A59 from the Whalley Road roundabout to the turn off to Pimlico Link Road will be fully closed in order to carry out the final task of surfacing the A59.

The road is due to be closed from 7pm on Friday to 6am on Monday .

According to Lancashire County Council, access for Pendleton will be maintained throughout, although traffic in the surrounding area is likely to be chaotic!

So, anyone travelling on the A59 from the Preston direction, might be best avoiding the area and going through Sabden.

Anyone travelling on the A59 from the Skipton direction, the diversion will be through the centre of Clitheroe. An alternative would be to divert at Gisburn via Barrowford, Fence and Sabden.

We hope this doesn’t cause too much disruption and will see you at the club this weekend.

Once finished, the roundabout will be a big improvement.
