How can I start race training? - The best way to start is to attend the Tuesday night beginners session.

What do I need to wear? – Race training requires people to wear suitable attire – long sleeves, long trousers (jeans are not recommended) and gloves. As the slope operates in all weathers, clothing should be suitable for the conditions. In addition everyone must wear specific racing protection such as a helmet with visor, gloves, shin pads etc.

What will I learn? – Race training will teach you how to negotiate a series of gates  as fast as you can with control. The session begins with drills and moves onto specific coaching using gates.

We have an active RACE SQUAD which competes at all levels of competition.

Our racers take part in club events, regional races and national competitions including the English and British Championships and the club has produced several English and British champions at all age groups.

Competitions at the national level use a seedpoint system and provide a route into national teams and snow races.

Every year hundreds of children and their parents embark upon the dry slope ski race circuit and Pendle Ski Club has a growing number of participants on the circuit. The ultimate aim of every racer is to be able to race at the National Championships which are held towards the end of the dry slope season.
